Speaker 1:

Hi and welcome to our podcast, revelation Within On the Go. I'm Heidi Wiles-Meperson, one of your hosts and the owner and lead coach of the RevelationWithinorg ministry, and I'm Christina Motley, your other host, also a Revelation Within coach and Heidi's partner in all things Revelation Within. We are so excited to invite you to this special episode of Revelation Within On the show. We have a special December series for you. Each day, a short mind renewal meditation will be released lasting about five minutes. We hope these encourage you to press in closer to Jesus this year. This is Christina Motley and I'm going to do a mind renewal audio on getting ready for a vacation.

Speaker 1:

Lord Jesus, I am so excited that I get to go on this trip. Thank you for putting this in my life. Thank you for bringing this trip into my life. I'm so excited about the joy and adventure, the new things that I will experience, but I know that in the past, when I am going on a trip, I struggle with eating and drinking inside of my boundaries. Lord, I want more than anything to please you on this trip and to love you first. So I'm going to renew my mind before I even go and then renew my mind again several times each day, so that I am sure that I am putting you first and thinking my thoughts after yours. Lord, what is true is that I want to love you first on this trip and then I want to love others. Well, I am going on this trip to have adventure and fun, yes, but mostly to bring glory to you and to love your people. Help me to do that, lord.

Speaker 1:

What is true is that my focus should be others, not myself. What is true is that I am not entitled to anything good and I don't deserve anything good. What is true is that every good thing in my life is a gift from you. So I'm going to read Romans 13, 14. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts. Lord, that's what I want. I want you to please be my shield, my protector, my fortress. If there is an emotion that comes up, that is difficult, I will run to you. If something is challenging, I will run to you. If I feel entitled or like I deserve a reward, I will run to you for my reward.

Speaker 1:

1 Corinthians 6.12. All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything, lord. I want to be mastered only by you. I want to be mastered by my love and devotion for you. What is true is that I need to submit in this trip, in this vacation, to your plans and your purposes for me and your will. 1 Thessalonians 5, 6. So then, let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober. Lord, help me to renew my mind on this trip and to be thinking my thoughts after you. I pray that you would meet me there and walk through, enjoy the adventures and fun of this trip with me. I pray that my actions would be pleasing to you. What is true is that when I eat and drink inside of my boundaries, I feel peace and freedom. I want that, lord. Thank you for going before me. Thank you for walking with me. In Jesus' name, I pray, amen.
