Revelation Within On the Go!
Revelation Within equips people with life-giving, grace-infused mind renewal tools to deepen their intimacy with Jesus so that counterfeit comforts (like overeating) lose their allure, and the joy and hope of Jesus fills their lives, satisfying their souls.
In our podcast we talk about mind renewal, tips and tricks for getting and staying free from counterfeit comforts like overeating (over-scrolling, over-drinking, over-anythinging...)
We began as Thin Within in 1975, a pioneer in intuitive, mindful eating back when diets were in their hey day! Thin Within has taught people how to tune in to their body's natural signals of hunger and satisfaction, remaining present with their meals and delighting in tastes and textures--and the Lord!
In the 1980s, Thin Within became a Christian ministry, showing people that the emptiness that they have felt and often filled with food that their bodies don't require, was really placed in there to be filled full with God through Jesus. He wants to set us free from all strongholds!
We rebranded our ministry and our podcast in 2023 to Revelation Within.

Speaker 2:Motley, your other host, also a Revelation Within coach and Heidi's partner in all things, revelation Within. We are so excited to invite you to this special episode of Revelation Within On the show. We have a special December series for you. Each day, a short mind renewal meditation will be released, lasting about five minutes. We hope these encourage you to press in closer to Jesus this year. This is Christina and Heidi and a Mind Renewal audio on God's thoughts on our bodies.
Speaker 2:Lord Jesus, did you really make this body of mine? Did you really plan every part? Did you think about every detail? God, sometimes I don't like my body very much. I spent years not appreciating it, but what is true is that you made me and, lord, you made my shape and you made all the details. You made my smile. You made my eyes the color that they are. Lord, you thought of everything we want so much for our folks to be on gratitude. We want to be grateful, lord, for what you have made in us. Lord, help us to look to you now for your truth. Write in your own words, lord. We can't go wrong when we look at your words. Help us, lord, to know your truth so that we can walk in the light with gratitude and thanksgiving for what you have given us. Thank you, lord.
Speaker 1:Lord, I want to know the mind of Christ about my body. I want the thoughts from you to be what wallpapers the walls of my mind, about my body, about events that I go to, about the purpose of this season. Is it really about food and eating? No, it's not. I want the mind of Christ, your own mind, which you have promised that I have to be, what dominates my thinking, my longings, the things I say. Lord, this holiday season, I want to be focused on you and I want to be an expression of your beautiful glory and your kindness, extended to others and also to myself. God, you want to use my body as I move through this life on this earth and through this holiday season. You dwell in my body. You want to animate my body and motivate my desires and my plans and everything about me, and that is what I want to show me, lord. Show me what that means. Help me to believe you, for it, to believe what you say and what you say is so powerful.
Speaker 1:Thank you, Lord, for your word.
Speaker 2:So now we're in Psalm 139, verses 13 through 16. Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out. It's true, lord, you formed me in my mother's womb. How special that is, how amazing that is, how intimate. Intimate, lord, just to think that you loved me so much that you made me first inside and then out. Thank you, jesus, for making me.
Speaker 1:I thank you, high God. You are breath taking. Oh Lord, it is just so astonishing that my body and the forming and knitting of it had your full, undivided attention. That's just astonishing and I thank you for that truth. Body and soul, I am marvelously made. That is what really matters. That is the mind of Christ this holiday season, this moment. Thank you that my body and my soul are marvelously made by you.
Speaker 2:Lord, I worship in adoration. What a creation what you have done with your hands. And what can I do with this body? I can love well, I can serve. I can live my life because you gave me this body. Thank you, god. Thank you that you know me inside and out. You know every bone in my body. There is nothing, lord, that you don't know about me. You are walking with me. I am known by you.
Speaker 1:You know exactly how I was made because you did it every bit by bit. You sculpted me from nothing into something. How astonishing is that. How amazing is that you formed and shaped me from the very beginning, from inception. Lord, you are the one that did it all. Thank you.
Speaker 2:Lord, like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth. All the stages of my life were spread out before you, Lord, god, you have celebrated all the times, all the growth, all the seasons of my life. You have walked with me, you have celebrated, you have given me what I needed. You have been faithful and steadfast. Help me, lord, to cling to you this holiday season, knowing that you're holding me by your right hand, walking so closely with me. Thank you, jesus. Thank you, we love you.
Speaker 1:The days of my life were all prepared before I even lived one day. You knew the many holidays and Christmases specifically Lord that I would face throughout my life. You knew this Christmas the one that is coming now is one that I would face throughout my life. You knew this Christmas the one that is coming now is one that I would face. You knew who I would be with. You knew where I would live. You knew the losses of this year that would come with me into the holidays. You knew the joys and the delights that would flood my heart as well. There is nothing about me, in this moment and this holiday season as it approaches, that you did not know before I lived a moment of it.
Speaker 2:Lord, god, you see me, you hear me, you know what I'm celebrating and you know what's causing me heartache. Lord, you know all of the details and you made us fearfully and wonderfully. Thank you, god, that we can count on you to be with us. We are never, never alone. You are walking with us and we have your strength inside of us. Your joy is our strength. Lord, we love you and we thank you. In Jesus' name, we pray Amen.
