Speaker 1:

Hi and welcome to our podcast, Revelation Within On the Go. I'm Heidi Wiles-Meperson, one of your hosts and the owner and lead coach of the RevelationWithinorg ministry, and I'm Christina.

Speaker 2:

Motley, your other host, also a Revelation Within coach and Heidi's partner in all things Revelation Within. We are so excited to invite you to this special episode of Revelation Within On the show. We have a special December series for you. Each day, a short mind renewal meditation will be released, lasting about five minutes. We hope these encourage you to press in closer to Jesus this year.

Speaker 1:

Hi, this is Heidi and Christina, with a mind renewal on inviting God to grant conviction to eat according to the boundaries of physical hunger and satisfaction, especially during the holidays. Lord, I know that with all of the wonderful foods available during the holiday season, I tend to struggle a lot more with staying within the boundaries that you have led me to have in my life, waiting for physical hunger and stopping at physical enoughness, having a just right size portion of food. Lord, I just want to take some time to renew my mind, to think your thoughts about that boundary and to invite you to grant renewed conviction, a strengthening of the conviction of my heart that this is what you want for me. There will be more joy in honoring you with these boundaries than there could ever be with eating more than I need. So that is what I want to do right now, lord.

Speaker 2:

Lord, I want to do the same. I want to sit at your feet and I want to renew my commitment, lord, to letting go of what does not belong to me, letting go of what is yours, opening my hands, surrendering my heart and letting go of the extra bites of food that my body doesn't need. Lord, I want to please you. I want to worship you through my choices, through my decisions, through my moment-by-moment interactions. Lord, I want to worship you with gratitude and praise and I want to focus on the fact that you are enough for me and that you made me fearfully and wonderfully. Lord, you have a plan for me and I want nothing less than your will in my life. 1 Corinthians 6, 19-20. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own. You were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.

Speaker 2:

Lord Jesus, this is my desire this holiday season. I want to honor you with my body. This holiday season, I want to honor you with my body. My body is a temple of your Holy Spirit. It's hard for me to understand, lord, but here it is in your word. These are your words, this is your truth. You have given me a body that is your temple. Lord Jesus, I want to honor you. I want to surrender my body, my food, my eating to you. I want my life, my choices, my decision to be one of worship. Thank you, jesus, for helping me with this.

Speaker 1:

Yes, lord, I pray that you would grant a double portion of your conviction to my heart. I pray that you would grant a double portion of your conviction to my heart that there is no need to look elsewhere for satisfaction. Lord, I pray that you are enough for me. You've said that you are continually with me and you hold my right hand. Thank you, lord. You guide me with your counsel. You are with me in each moment and each temptation. You are right there, supplying a way out so that I can bear up under it. Lord, you've said that after this life has passed, you will receive me into glory.

Speaker 1:

Oh Lord, whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing, nothing on earth that I desire besides you, even when I think I do, in those moments when my flesh rears its ugly head and I want certain foods or certain material goods, whatever it might be. There. Really, lord, is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail. Lord is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, lord, indeed, but you are the strength of my heart and you are my portion, now, into this holiday season, and forever. Amen.

Speaker 2:

Amen.
