We’re sharing the story behind a significant change for us: why we let go of the name Thin Within and stepped into Revelation Within. We go back to Thin Within’s roots in the 1970s, when the simple practice of eating when physically hungry and stopping when satisfied offered a welcome alternative to strict diet rules. While we still value that wisdom, we’ve also seen how even a helpful boundary can become another form of control when fear, perfectionism, or shame take over. If you’ve ever turned “Am I hungry?” into a scorecard you could pass or fail, you’ll understand why this distinction matters.

Over the years, God continued to deepen what we were learning about the “hungers beneath the hunger,” mind renewal, and freedom from shame. Romans 12:2 has become central as we learn to recognize lies about our bodies and our worth, practice truth, and distinguish conviction from condemnation. We’ve also discovered that this journey is about far more than food—it’s about discipleship, identity in Christ, and learning to turn to God instead of counterfeit comforts when life hurts. In Revelation Within, our focus is on allowing God to reveal truth and guide us toward the next faithful step, rather than making a particular body outcome the goal. We hope this conversation helps you understand not only why our name changed, but where God is leading us now.
