Revelation Within On the Go!
Revelation Within equips people with life-giving, grace-infused mind renewal tools to deepen their intimacy with Jesus so that counterfeit comforts (like overeating) lose their allure, and the joy and hope of Jesus fills their lives, satisfying their souls.
In our podcast we talk about mind renewal, tips and tricks for getting and staying free from counterfeit comforts like overeating (over-scrolling, over-drinking, over-anythinging...)
We began as Thin Within in 1975, a pioneer in intuitive, mindful eating back when diets were in their hey day! Thin Within has taught people how to tune in to their body's natural signals of hunger and satisfaction, remaining present with their meals and delighting in tastes and textures--and the Lord!
In the 1980s, Thin Within became a Christian ministry, showing people that the emptiness that they have felt and often filled with food that their bodies don't require, was really placed in there to be filled full with God through Jesus. He wants to set us free from all strongholds!
We rebranded our ministry and our podcast in 2023 to Revelation Within.

When the Scale Loses Power
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Many of us have experienced how a bathroom scale can become far more than a source of information. One number can suddenly seem to tell us whether we’re succeeding or failing, affecting our mood, our eating, our body image, and even how willing we are to bring our honest feelings to God. In this episode, we get practical and honest about the signs that the scale may have stopped being neutral information and started defining us—from thinking about the number all day and repeatedly stepping on and off to chasing relief or avoiding the scale altogether because of shame. We talk about why grace isn’t passivity, body acceptance doesn’t mean giving up on health, and surrender doesn’t mean denying our desire for change.
We also share Christina’s story of bringing her struggle with the scale directly to the Lord and how her perspective changed years later when cancer treatment meant being weighed regularly in a medical setting. That experience helped her see weight in a broader context and approach the scale as a tool rather than a judge. Finally, we offer practical mind-renewal questions and gentle coaching strategies to help create space between the number on the scale and your next choice. If you’re longing for less scale anxiety and more peace rooted in your identity in Christ, we hope this conversation gives you a new way to engage the scale without allowing it to define you.

Why The Scale Feels So Loud
SPEAKER_01Hi, welcome to our podcast, Revelation Within on the Go. I'm Heidi Filesman-Epherson, one of your hosts, and the owner and lead coach of the Revelation Within Industry.
SPEAKER_00And I'm Christina Motley, your other host, also a Revelation Within coach, and I'm Heidi's partner at all things Revelation Within. We are so happy to invite you to join us for this episode of Revelation Within on Well, Christina and I have been talking the last couple weeks about some of our experiences coaching one-on-one.
SPEAKER_01And yes. Yeah, about some of those deeper places that women find themselves when food, body image, health concerns, and the desire to lose weight all become kind of tangled and mangled together. Tangled and mangled. So today we're going to talk a little bit about what happens. You know, we have voices that speak to us, the culture speaks to us, um, family experiences speak to us, but the bathroom scale sometimes speaks really loudly to many of us. Yes. And I have a feeling many of you know exactly what we mean by that. Obviously, the bathroom scale doesn't have a voice. It's only an instrument that displays a number, it is a tool. And that but that number, that number, it says so much and seems to attribute to us value or worth or whatever. For instance, you're doing well. Yay! Or you failed again. Boo. Yeah, or how about you can relax. Or you'd better try harder. Or you are acceptable today. Oh, or you should be ashamed. Yeah, yeah. Now the scale really only gives us a number, and that's information. That's just information. But we can give that information a sense of authority to define us, sometimes to direct our choices. Maybe the minute we step off the scale, we're letting it have a choice to tell us how to live our lives today. Maybe it'll determine our mood and even can affect how willing we are to go to God with whatever it is we're feeling about that experience.
SPEAKER_00You know, if only the scale, if only it were that simple, that it was just this plastic metal thing, just this tool that has to do with um gravity. I mean, if only it were that simple, but for so many of us, it has been anything but simple for our whole lives. Many of us started weighing ourselves when we were, you know, young teenagers and watched our moms weigh themselves. And I mean, it is it is this big, big issue for so many of us. Should I weigh? Should I not weigh? Should I throw away the scale? Should I, you know, embrace it? Um, should I weigh every day? Should I weigh every hour? Should I never weigh again? Um, it's become this huge issue for so many of us. So I love that we're talking about it today. Let's get into it, Heidi.
SPEAKER_01Okay,
Grace Is Not Passivity
SPEAKER_01we're also gonna talk today about something that's kind of important. Really important. Really, really important. Grace is not passivity. You know, just because we want to relish and enjoy our freedom does not mean we stop caring about our health and well-being. Um, body acceptance doesn't mean we are never allowed to desire change either. Surrender doesn't mean that we ignore medical wisdom or refuse interventions that can be really helpful to us. Right. So, Christina, how can someone kind of get a clue as to whether the scale is giving them information only or whether it has begun to define her?
SPEAKER_00Such a good question. Um, I wish somebody had asked me that a long, long time ago, actually. Maybe you did ask me, Heidi. Maybe I went through many, many years where the scale defined me and owned me. And how did I know? How did I know that it was defining me and owning me? Because my my emotions, my life, the way that my my day went, it all revolved around the number on that scale. And I was owned by it. I was trapped, tethered, whatever you want to call it. It felt like I had an actual relationship with this inanimate object. I felt like, oh my gosh, like I have a relationship and it's really unhealthy. I had no peace. Um, the scale would go up and I had no peace. The scale would go down and I had no peace. The scale would say the same and I had no peace. That's when I knew that I had a very unhealthy relationship with my scale. Um and so how do you know? How do you know? Well, when you step on the scale, you know, what's it about? How do you feel? What's going on in your heart and mind? What do you believe about those numbers? I used to say things when I hear people all the time say things like, Well, the scale says, so it's like the scale is is speaking to me. It's it's not a friend, um, but speaking to me in terms of, well, you know, you should do this, you should do that, you, you know, you should be here, you're you're behind, you're too far ahead, you're whatever. Um, that's how you know that the scale is not simply providing information, it's defining me. Here's another way that that I knew. Am I thinking about that number all day long? Am I thinking about it? When I'm at work, you know, am I thinking about it? When I'm in the car, am I thinking about it? When I'm going through the drive-thru, whether I'm needing nourishment or not, am I thinking about it? That's how you know that the scale is defining you rather than being used as a tool. And I'm not saying that the scale shouldn't be used, not at all. But do we want the scale to be what defines us? Oh, that's an awful feeling. It's an awful feeling. And I was there for many years, probably 35 years or something.
SPEAKER_01And I was as well. Well, and and then what's so interesting is I just have to be my my usual brash self and say this. If you are getting on and off the scale like repeatedly, because you just know it'll move down, and then maybe you go to the potty and you stay there for a while and do a big number two, and then you get on the scale, or if you make sure that you have showered after the scale because water weighs, you know. I mean, all those tricks we use, even getting my hair cut once upon a time. It was like, oh wow, before the weigh-in at Weight Watchers back in the day, I need to get my hair cut because I had a lot of it. And I wonder if that makes a difference. Well, it does, of course it does. What shoes do I wear when I do get on the scale? Do I not wear any? Do I am I stark naked? You know what? All of these gyrations we go through. Should I do it on the rug? One of the one of the bathrooms has a rug in it. One bathroom is linoleum, another one is wood flooring. Right. And it's like, which one is most favorable to me? You know, that's that's a good sign that maybe we have placed it on a pedestal of some sort, and it's telling us far too much. It wasn't intended to be that important. God doesn't want it to be that important. I don't think God wants me to value it that much.
SPEAKER_00Well, and we're kind of joking about it, but Heidi and I have both done that. All of those things, the only one that I don't think I've ever done is the haircut. All the other ones, definitely, definitely, yes, yes, and yes. Um, so we're not, we're not in, you know, judging or anything. We're totally like, oh my gosh, this was us. And there's one more I want to mention, and that is hiding from the scale. That's another one. That's another one that um helps me certainly to discern, oh, wait a minute, you know, things are not right here because I I am afraid to weigh. I'm afraid to step on that scale. I don't, I'm feeling like, ah, you know, and that's where that shame comes in. Oh my gosh, it's it's awful. It's just awful the way it feels. But that's another indication that things are not right, that you are feeling owned and um that maybe you're getting your worth from the scale. Hiding from the scale is also a big one.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and I know that you and I have both been through seasons where we abstained because the scale was given too much uh, I don't know, authority in our lives. And we have both had freedom in using the tool. Yes. And then there have been times when, at least I know I have, I've used it as a tool and then saw myself gravitate back towards giving it too much um esteem, too much authority in my life. And I had to change it again and um and stop using it as much. And so if if you can identify with any of what we're sharing, then that's a good indication that, you know, take it to the Lord. Would you tell that story about, you know, taking the scale to the Lord?
Taking The Scale To God
SPEAKER_00Oh, sure. Well, this was this was way back. So this is when I started coaching with you, Heidi. This is when I started renewing my mind. I felt like I was in kind of this honeymoon of, oh my gosh, you know, God is going to free me. And it was, it was just very, very exciting. I was learning how to think differently about everything. And one of the things that I needed to bring to the Lord was the scale. I was asking him, what is true about you? What is true about me, my weight, my size, food, body, all the different things. Um, all of that. And so the scale came right into that. And so one day when I knew that I had total and complete privacy, nobody would walk in. It was my day off. I had the kids were at school. My youngest, I remember, was at her grandma's, and my husband was at work at the hospital for the whole day. And so I knew that I had privacy. I picked up the scale, the actual scale, brought it into the living room, brought it, sat it down with me on the couch and said, Lord, let's talk about this thing. Um, it was a little scary. I wasn't sure what he was gonna ask of me, and I was a little bit nervous about that. But I also um knew and know that that I worship a very loving, compassionate God who does not want me to be tied and chained and tethered to this little plastic metal thing that's you know sits on the bathroom floor. For me, actually, it was in the garage at the time because I was trying not to weigh so much. And so I took it, I just brought it to him, and it was so um freeing to do so because it was like, here it is, it's in my hands, it's right here. Let's talk about it. And we did. We talked about all the different things, all the different ways, all the different seasons of my life that I've weighed and why. And at that time, and I'm not saying this is right for everyone, and I'm not saying this is even right for me right now, but at that time, I felt very clearly that God was saying it's time to get rid of it. It's not, yeah. I mean, and that's a huge thing. And I was like, wait, what? Did I hear you right? What? What did you say, Lord? Can you say it again? And I it was so clear, almost as if he was speaking right into my mind, let's get rid of it. Um, let's get rid of it.
SPEAKER_01Well, and just to reassure the listener, where are you at with that right now?
SPEAKER_00In a totally different place.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, and that's because I've gone through a year of cancer treatment and I have been weighed at every doctor's office, at every infusion center, at every, you know, at the radiation center, everywhere that I went, I was being weighed sometimes three, four, five times a week. And the scale said something different at every office because that's how it is, right?
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00Um, and it was driving me crazy. I didn't own a scale of my own. Um, I didn't have one. I actually didn't weigh myself for 11 years. Wow. Um, which is crazy insane. Of course, I may I had made up for it by all the times that I had weighed before. But in this in this season of cancer treatment and the intensity of all these appointments and all the blood work and the weighing and the, I mean, I feel like I was being constantly metabolically analyzed. It was just crazy, crazy, crazy. Anyway, um, so I did it again, but I didn't have the scale, of course. But instead of taking the scale to the Lord, I just took myself and said, Lord, we need to have a talk because I don't know what to do. I'm getting weighed everywhere all the time. It's driving me crazy. Um, what do I do? And in this conversation, which was like 11, 12 years after that first one, I felt again, very, very clear. The message from the Lord was go buy a scale. How crazy is that? And I thought, there's no way I'm hearing you right. I thought he was gonna say, Oh, Christina, it's fine. You're not owned by the scale, renew your mind. You know, it's just everything's okay. You don't need to go by, but no, I felt like very clearly he said, let's you and I go together, let's pick one out, and then before your doctor's appointment, whether it's once a week or seven times a week, we're gonna weigh you and me. And then you can go to your appointment worry-free because you will have your own measurement, um, which, you know, again, it's does it's not your value, it's not your worth, it's just a number, it's just a little piece of equipment, but you will have that um, it will just take that weight off of your shoulders when you go to the appointment. Because I was dreading, I was starting to dread every appointment, and I thought, I can't go through a year of treatment this way.
SPEAKER_01No, no, that obsessive anticipation of of oh my gosh, I have to see their number and then I'm gonna have to see somebody else's number and different times of the day and different scales and horrible, horrible.
SPEAKER_00And what's so interesting, of course, which this is you know what I found over the year that I was in treatment, is that when you talk with cancer doctors and nurses, people that deal with cancer every day, they do not want to see the scale go down. For them, that's a huge warning sign that something is wrong. And so they want to see the scale stay either the same and they don't mind if it goes up a little, they don't mind at all. Uh, which I have never experienced in a doctor's office. But they would, you know, make positive comments if my weight was the same. Or even had gone up a little. Because in the world of cancer, that's an indication of good health. You know, if you start losing a lot of weight in the world of cancer, that's an indication that your body is losing the battle.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, ooh, yikes.
SPEAKER_00I mean, whoa. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Although I haven't battled cancer at all um appreciably, uh, just skin cancer, but anyway, that's another story. Yeah. Um, I know that one of the things that uh I have tended to do when I have struggled with my use of the scale has been to kind of attribute um goodness or badness to myself, almost like a morality. It's like it determines whether I have had a good week or a bad week. But the truth is, I can invite God to show me. Have I been responding to your leadership? Because that's the most important thing, and or have I been rejecting your leadership? Have I kind of led my own charge? Have I been my own authority? And, you know, really, I think it's an important distinction. Um, so it's not wrong to get information uh from the scale, and it we're not saying that you should never weigh yourself, or maybe just maybe just ask if you really want to know, ask the Lord to show you what power have I given the information that I get from the scale. That's a good question. Just simply, yeah. I know that when when I was um, gosh, oh this was a long time ago. But anyway, depending upon what the scale said, and I weighed every day and I charted it and I graphed it. This was in 2006, 2007. Um, I would like look at what I got away with. I ate more than I thought I should have, and I got away with it because the scale didn't reflect that. Or, oh wow, what happened? And I would feel devastated by a weight that was higher. You know, it's like, do how much importance am I giving to that little device there? Um, does disappointment turn into condemnation? You know, I mean, really, it's good questions for us to consider and invite God into. You know, really those kinds of reactions tell us if the scale is has moved out of that neutral zone, neutral zone into a danger zone, whether it's become our judge. We don't want to go there. All right. So I
Coaching Tools To Slow Reactions
SPEAKER_01gotta ask you, when you are coaching someone who is deeply affected by the bathroom scale, how do you help her slow the moment down rather than kind of reacting automatically?
SPEAKER_00That's the yeah, interesting question. I mean, I think I I have mentioned before that whenever I'm coaching one-on-one, and I know you're the same way, Heidi, we meet people exactly where they are. You know, it's not like, oh, well, you should be all the way down this big long road of, you know, um, we we don't do that. I mean, that's overwhelming. We can't, we can't do that. And anyway, the journey doesn't belong to us, the journey belongs to them and the Lord. It is not about us at all. And so coaching someone, I mean, pretty much every time I've coached someone, we've had a discussion about the scale. At some point, it comes up. Um, and they want to know my experience, just like when Heidi was coaching me, I wanted to know her experience. You know, tell me about you, tell me about you. Um, because it helps to know that someone else gets it, someone else understands this is a really big deal. This is really hard. You know, this has been a struggle for me for years, and it helps to know I'm not alone in this. And I'm not crazy either. No, you're not. I felt like I was, I felt like I was crazy. I would say that to myself. Am I crazy? What's the matter with me? But no, you're not crazy, and and you're not alone in this. So I encourage a person to first of all just talk about their experience with the scale because a lot of times people, you know, we don't really think about it, we just do it. Exactly. Right? And we get in patterns and we don't even realize it, we don't even see it, we don't think about it, we don't process it, we don't understand it, we don't tell anyone about it. We just do it. And oftentimes the obsession with the scale gets worse and worse and worse. Um, and sometimes, you know, it's like the frog in the boiling pot. Hot, you know how that is. You put the frog in, the water's cold, and then the water gets warmer and warmer. All of a sudden he's boiling and he doesn't even know what's happening. And then he's dead.
unknownAnyway.
SPEAKER_00Wow. But I know, right? But anyway, I think so often we just we don't see what's happening. We don't feel it. We don't realize it. Yeah. And all of a sudden it's like, oh my gosh, uh, I have a real problem here. I have a real issue here with the scale. Um, so of course, I will encourage people to go to the Lord with this, which for many of us, it's the very first time that we've ever talked to God about the bathroom scale. It's like, I'm I'm embarrassed to talk to him about this. You know, I feel shame over this. I mean, I shouldn't be going to God about the bathroom scale. He's dealing with so many more things that are important. Oh my goodness, this is like ridiculous. That's what I used to tell myself. But it's not. It's not. And anything that causes us angst or feelings of hopelessness, anything that is that is trying to own us in this world is very important to God.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely.
SPEAKER_00He wants us to be free. Um, so yeah, I would say, you know, let's if if it's hard for you, let's pray together. We can do that together. I'm the one with skin on or across from the you know computer in the Zoom call with you. If it helps, we can do this together. And then I might suggest or um help them to think of we might brainstorm together one little tiny baby step um for the week, which might be you know, weighing yourself one less time in the week or whatever it is. It just depends on where they're at and how how tethered they are to the scale and how they feel about it, all those things. But really, taking it to the Lord is the most important thing I ever did with the scale, that's for sure. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and it can be so helpful to invite him in. If you do get on the scale, talk to him about it, just say, what am I looking to this right now to do for me or with me or to me and see, you know, just let that be time with him. And then once you get on and then off again, choosing a response rather than reacting from panic, inviting him to help you process the information that you just got. And if none of this sounds like something you need to do, hallelujah!
SPEAKER_00Yeah, exactly. Well, and I just want to say something that we say again and again at Revelation Within, just in case you're thinking it, there is no condemnation in Christ.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_00So when you're bringing that scale to him, you're bringing the issue to him, you are not being condemned. And the other one I just have to say is God is not disappointed in you, no matter what that number says.
SPEAKER_01I just have to say, you know, it's it can be super helpful and even a little bit of an experiment and a journey when we allow kind of curiosity, compassionate curiosity, to create a little bit of space in that place where we've been, we just wait ourselves and we have an answer. We can pause and ask questions like, What am I making this number mean?
SPEAKER_02Really?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, good question. What am I believing about myself right now? What do I believe this says about the future? And is that actually true, God? What do you have to say about all of it? I think that's really important. And what does God say is true about me in this moment? Yes, what would love and care look like right now? And so you can see this is really where mind renewal, because those are all mind renewal type questions, yes, it becomes intensely practical. We're not just pasting a cheerful Bible verse over our genuine disappointment. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Um, we are bringing that disappointment itself into God's perfect presence. You know, I used to have uh clients who would share their struggles with putting this the scale in its place. And we would come up with all kinds of ways of like you suggested, you know, maybe one less waiting time um each week. I had one client who she didn't have a scale, but every month she would go over to her next door neighbor's house and get on the scale, and the neighbor knew the numbers, but she didn't. All she would hear from the neighbor was, oh, from last month you're down however many, or you're up however many, or you're the same. And that she could process that information just fine. Um, I've had others who needed to do all kinds of, and I've done this too, put a little index card flap over the display on the on the scale and actually write either a Bible verse or what does your heart weigh, or what does God say your value is, or something to remind you to check in with Him. Um, anyway, so there's all kinds of little ways. I've also suggested to people who are struggling with repeatedly getting on the scale, take the batteries out and go put them at one end of the house and the scale at the other end of the house. And then while you're going and putting the two together, you actually can pray and ask God if that's what you should be doing right then. Maybe I can skip another way in time. Um, I and you know, one of the things that I hated about the way I used the scale at the time was how I would use the answer to punish myself if it wasn't what I wished it were. I would punish myself. Um, and if the number was uh number I thought was good, I might celebrate. And of course, you all have heard this before. Uh, maybe sometimes I would even celebrate with food. It was ridiculous. Anyway, yeah, yes. No matter what our struggles are with the bathroom scale, God's love does not increase when our number drops, and his love does not diminish when it rises. My identity in Christ doesn't fluctuate with the scale. Right, right. So,
Signs You Are Moving Toward Freedom
SPEAKER_01what does it begin to sound like when a client of yours is actually moving from that scale-driven thinking, that fixation on the scale and what it says about her toward freedom?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you know what? This is a great question, Heidi. I love that you're asking this question. Because what happens is what I see that happens, it's very, very exciting. I get so excited when somebody's entire conversation changes about this. And a lot of times they don't even realize that it's happening. Right. And then I will point it out and they'll say, Oh, oh my gosh, really? But really, their whole conversation, the way they talk about kind of everything around food and weight and eating and body image and and especially identity. You just mentioned identity in Christ. All of that starts to change in a way that move is moving them. You can tell that they're moving toward freedom, that they're even feeling totally free in some areas. So here's an example of what somebody might say in a coaching session, and they don't even realize that their whole conversation is changing. I don't remember the last time I weighed myself.
SPEAKER_02What?
SPEAKER_00Wait a minute, what did what did you just say? That, I mean, that is that's exciting because their focus is elsewhere, obviously, or they would be weighing all the time as they used to. Or if someone's conversation is about it turns into who I am in Christ, how does God see me? And the scale's not even a part of it. The number is is like gone. It's like over the hills and the mountains. It's like we can't even see it anymore. You can tell when somebody is starting to think differently. Another way that you can tell is when they are filled with hope. No longer are they coming to the calls, um, saying things like, oh, I gained again this week, or oh, but I lost and then I gained again, or oh, I didn't weigh, but I'm I'm like, I'm afraid to weigh. And all of that conversation is gone. And what's there? Hope and joy and excitement, and a focus on relationship with the Lord. That is the biggest focus.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And praise and lots of gratitude, and you know that those things are coming in when the focus is off of the scale and the numbers, and they're feeling free. It's so exciting. I it's one of my favorite moments in coaching. It's awesome.
SPEAKER_01Oh, it is awesome.
Weight Loss Goals With Open Hands
SPEAKER_01So, how do you help a woman who holds a weight loss goal? Let's say she holds it with open hands and she's willing to let God um have his way with her. Um obviously, we don't want to pretend that her desire isn't there. I know sometimes Christians believe that surrender means we're supposed to stop wanting something or at least stop admitting that we want it, which isn't in authenticity exactly. But surrender isn't denial, um, it's honesty without worshiping a desired outcome. So what is true of those in our midst who are hoping to see the number go down?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, another really, really good question. You know, a lot of a lot of people want to lose weight for reasons that make a lot of sense, you know, if their body is hurting or they're not able to move well or move at all, or I mean, there's a lot of reasons that are totally understandable if, you know, if they have health problems that are related to their weight, things like that. Um, so I think just having a very open, honest conversation, I want them to know that they're safe with me. And let's just talk about this. Let's just talk about why do you have this goal in mind? Um, what are you looking for? You know, let's just start there. Um, start with what is the desire of their heart and why. And kind of without condemnation at all, without any judgment, let's just talk about that openly. Maybe they never have talked about that openly. Maybe that's always been something they've held close to their heart as kind of a secret place. Um, but let's, you know, let's talk about it and then let's go to the Lord with this. Let's pray about it, let's ask him what is true, and let's ask him what is he calling you to. And that's that's a hard question. It may not be something that you know right away, it may be something that takes a few days or a few weeks to process with him. But knowing that he's not condemning you, knowing that your worth and value has nothing to do with your size and that number on the scale, and knowing that God is not disappointed and that he just wants freedom for you, what's he calling you to? What is what is his view on it? And for many of us, that's a question we've never asked. Or maybe we've been afraid to ask it because we're afraid that he'll say, you know, something that we aren't comfortable with or whatever. Um but going to him, knowing that he's a good God, knowing that he knows, he understands, he comes, he greets us with compassion every time. Um, some of the things we might want to go to the Lord with, we could say, Lord, you know I want my body to change. You know I have health concerns, you know how much history and heartache I carry around my size. Lord, you know that I'm tired, I'm weary of this whole struggle. I bring all of this to you, Lord. Show me how to care for myself today and keep this desire from becoming the source of my identity, my psych security or hope.
SPEAKER_01What would be something that you would want to say to somebody who does hope to see a shape shift in her life? Um, what final wisdom do you want to leave her with today?
SPEAKER_00Hmm. Well, first of all, I think I just want to say you are loved and you are lovely. You are radiant in God's sight, you are beautiful inside and out, you are so valued by God. That's the first thing, and that doesn't change. It doesn't change by your health status, your size, what other people say, what happened to you when you were little, or any of those things. That's the first thing. Who God is will not change, and he loves you immensely. The second thing is who you are will not change because you are his, you belong to him. Um, so that's that part has to come first. But then after that, you know, it's okay to talk about these things and you are not alone. Um find someone or ask the Lord for an opportunity to talk to someone who is safe for you about some of these things, and maybe help you to take them to the Lord if it feels too overwhelming on your own. It's okay to ask for help um and you're not alone. So I think that's kind of it right there. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Well, thank you for joining us.
